Contributors to my Site

Hello!

I’m excited to announce the contributions of some new writers to my website.

My sister Jessa is a passionate poet who wishes to share some of her work. I’ve made her an author on my site, and she should begin posting soon.

In addition to helping with my editing process, my brother Jared has generously offered to publish content on my site. He also has a background in poetry, but he will primarily focus on fanfiction and short stories.

I’m excited to involve my family in this endeavor. I think that their blogs should add some additional perspectives and a variety of interesting forms of self expression.

Thanks!

Jessa

Writing Update

Hello!

I just wanted to update everyone on the progress of my book. I also need to lavish praise on some of the people who have helped me through the writing and editing processes.

First some good news: I’m currently 105,000 words into my first novel. The story is materializing, and I’m optimistic about completing it within the next few weeks. The editing stage may require a bit of time, but I’m almost done with the rough manuscript. I’m super excited, and I’m hopeful that many people will enjoy reading it.

Secondly, I would like to thank my supporters and my amazing editor, Jared Norton. My brother has helped with continuity, tonal consistency, basic editing, stylistic decisions, and plot resolution. Basically, he’s provided invaluable feedback and advice. I’d also like to thank my girlfriend, Madison. She is working on the art for the novel’s cover and for promotional purposes. My family and friends (especially my friend Erin) have provided significant encouragement and support. Thanks!

Novel Update

Hi everyone,

Thanks for following my progress. I will try to release posts on a more consistent basis in the future. Life has been a little crazy lately, and I have devoted a considerable amount of time to writing my novel. As of this moment, I am 73,154 words into my novel. My goal is to clock in around 100,000 words. My girlfriend and I have discussed the cover art. I am excited about the preliminary sketches that she put together. Last week, my sister also worked on some of the illustrations between chapters. I am incredibly grateful for their help and support.

Tony

My dog Tony is a prominent character in my debut novel. I’ve been a proud parent of this grumpy nimbus cloud for almost 9 years. He loves walks, car rides, and drive thru windows. IMG_20170123_171606_503.jpg

Inspiration

Hello!

I started writing my first novel for several reasons:

  • I have always loved reading and creative writing.
  • I experienced mental health conditions and wanted to create protagonists who overcome depression and anxiety.
  • I felt that I had an inspiring message and enough talent to convey it.
  • I thought that I could create exciting and interesting narratives.IMG_20170408_110727_997.jpg
